One of the best music festivals, the nicest people …

… it’s the Worcester Latin American Festival in downtown Woo (11 Sycamore St., Centro/near City Hall). This Saturday, August 17! FREE! Be there!

And one of the loveliest people you’ll ever meet is Dolly V., the great lady who makes it all happen (without a hitch!) year after year. Her knowledge and passion of all kinds of Latino music are unmatched. She is a world class talent who has dedicated herself to this city. Years ago, I attended the fest with my sister before she moved to Boston. Incredible! It became a yearly pilgrimage for us. So much fun. Recently, the fest has touched my life this way: When my mom died last summer I got an email from Dolly. She said that her mom passed away and she STILL thinks about her every day. EVERY day. She told me that my mother would never leave me, just the way her mom has never left her. She told me her father ADORED her mother … Her message comforted me. And, months later, I see Dolly was right. My mom is always with me and, if anything, I feel her strength, her presence even more intensely these days. A kind of muse …

So catch Dolly’s fest! The music is fantastic – and it’s right in the center of our downtown, accessible to EVERYBODY. ย For more info and talent line up/performance times, please click onย http://worcesterlatinfestival.com/
